Can Christianity Restore its Hebrew Roots?
Can Christianity Restore its Hebrew Roots?

I recently wrote a blog about the call to come out from Babylon and to be separate as we are told in many passages such as Revelation 18:4:
And I heard another voice from heaven saying,
Come out from within her, my people,
so that you do not partake in her sins ,
so that you do not receive of her plagues ,
(Rev. 18:4)
In that blog I demonstrated that modern “Babylon” is Christendom, and that the call to come out of Babylon is the restoration of the ancient sect of Nazarene Judaism which is taking place today.
Yeshua did not come to create a new religion (Christianity), He came to be the Messiah of the old one (Judaism).
However many in the Hebraic-Roots movement have set themselves on a mission to reform Christianity and “fix” it. They sincerely believe that they can restore the Hebraic Roots to Christianity. This is impossible because Christianity as a new and different religion from Judaism was created by severing itself from any Hebraic Roots it might have had.
The “Church Fathers” admitted that they had invented “Christianity” and attempted to replace Nazarene Judaism with it. See my article How the Church Fathers Invented Christianity
The folly of those who think they can repair and reform Christianity from within, by simply reintroducing “Hebrew Roots” is foretold in the book of Jeremiah.
Jeremiah also gives the prophecy of the call to come out from Babylon saying:
8 Flee out of the midst of Bavel, and go forth out of the land of the Chaldeans, and be as the he-goats before the flocks. ....
45 My people, go you out of the midst of her, and save yourselves every man from the fierce anger of YHWH.
(Jer. 50:8; 51:45)
But Jeremiah gives us an additional prophecy about this event:
6 Flee out of the midst of Bavel and save every man his life. Be not cut off in her
iniquity, for it is the time of YHWH’s vengeance; He will render unto her a recompense.
7 Bavel has been a golden cup in YHWH’s hand, that made all the earth drunken. The
nations have drunk of her wine, therefore the nations are mad.
8 Bavel is suddenly fallen and destroyed. Wail for her; take balm for her pain, if so be
she may be healed.
9 We would have healed Bavel, but she is not healed. Forsake her, and let us go every
one into his own country, for her judgment reaches unto heaven, and is lifted up even to
the skies.
(Jer. 51:6-9)
Here we read of a group of people who react to the call to come out from Babylon and be separate by attempting to heal Babylon. They think they can fix Babylon, but Babylon cannot be fixed. YHWH has not called us to reform Babylon, He did not say to reform Babylon, He said to get out!
Yah’s work today is not one of reintroducing Hebraic Roots to Christianity in some misguided attempt to heal her. Yah’s work in these last days is the restoration of the ancient Jewish Sect of the Nazarenes. Yeshua did not come to create a new religion, he came to be the Messiah of the old one.
